Minister Bayraktar stated that he will continue natural gas drilling activities in the Black Sea to make Turkey independent in energy, and that they will conduct natural gas exploration off the coast of Bartın in April.

Bayraktar said, 'Our main goal, our Red Apple, is to make Turkey independent in energy. What we have done in Gabar Oil, in the Sakarya Gas Field. Now we have ongoing and upcoming projects inside. For example, hopefully, there is less than 24 hours left. We are starting a new drilling with the Abdülhamid Han ship in the Black Sea. Tomorrow morning at 04:00, hopefully, the drill will start turning in the sea. And a new discovery at the Kandıra-2 well. In April, we will drill the Eflani-1 well, which we call Eflani, with Fatih. That is, to the north of Bartın, in the sea, north of Zonguldak, Bartın, and Kastamonu. Our work related to new discoveries continues,' he said.
