It seems that the reason for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's step back, who first apologized to the neighboring countries attacked by Iran and then stated, "This does not negate Iran's right to self-defense," has become clear. Iranian Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, stating that "the geography of some regional countries has been left open or secretly for the enemy's use and these regions are being used in attacks against Iran," emphasized that he is exercising the "right to legitimate defense."
The Head of the Iranian Judiciary and Member of the Interim Leadership Council, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, made statements regarding the ongoing conflicts between Iran and the US and Israel, as well as Iran's attacks on US bases located in regional countries.
"THE GEOGRAPHY OF SOME REGIONAL COUNTRIES HAS BEEN LEFT FOR THE ENEMY'S USE" Ejei claimed that retaliatory actions against the sources of attacks on Iran would continue and that this strategy has been adopted by all institutions of the state, stating, "According to the data obtained by the Iranian Armed Forces, the geography of some regional countries has been left for the enemy's use, either openly or secretly, and these regions are being used for attacks against Iran."
Stating that his country is exercising its "right to self-defense" alongside retaliatory attacks, Ejei expressed that Iran has maintained its respect for its neighbors throughout history.
Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei PEZEŞKİYAN HAD APOLOGIZED FIRST, THEN BACKED DOWN Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a speech broadcast on state television, made statements regarding his country's security policy, announcing that the Interim Leadership Council had decided not to attack neighboring countries that do not pose a threat and not to launch missiles.
Pezeshkian stated, "I must apologize to the neighboring countries that have been attacked by Iran." He said, "Our leader, our commanders, and our students lost their lives due to the enemy's ruthless attack. We have no intention of attacking neighboring countries. They are our brothers, and we are trying to work together to achieve peace and tranquility."
However, later retracting his statements, Pezeshkian noted that they would resist until death to protect their country, stating, "This does not eliminate Iran's right to defend itself against the military attacks of the US and the Zionist regime. Iran's defensive operations are directed only at targets and facilities that are the source and origin of aggressive actions against the Iranian people, and we see them as legitimate targets."
