REVOLUTIONARY GUARDS CONDUCTED OPERATION ON 2 TANKERS
Speaking to Iranian state television, Haydar Huneriyan Mujarred, Commander of the 2nd Naval Zone of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, provided information on the matter.
15 CREW MEMBERS DETAINED
Mujarred stated, "2 tankers involved in fuel smuggling were seized near Farsi Island. 15 foreign crew members on the vessels carrying more than 1 million liters of smuggled fuel were detained."
The Iranian official, who did not provide information about the flag of the seized tankers and the nationality of the detained individuals, noted that the detained persons were referred to judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
