The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it struck 10 oil tankers that violated the passage ban in the Strait of Hormuz following US-Israeli attacks. Despite warnings regarding the security of the Strait of Hormuz, it was reported that the tankers were passing through.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it struck 10 oil tankers that were "attempting to pass through the Strait" without heeding warnings after the U.S.-Israel declared a "transit ban" since the start of their attacks.

The attacks launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran on February 28 turned the world upside down. Iran's response to the U.S. and Israel, which carried out attacks on many Iranian cities, especially Tehran, was harsh.

Iran, which has launched attacks on U.S. bases in Israel and countries in the region, effectively blocked oil trade by closing the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement made by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps recently, it was stated, "We will target every ship attempting to pass."

"WE STRUCK 10 OIL TANKERS"

Following the decision to close the Strait, Iran launched attacks on oil tankers attempting to pass despite warnings. In a report based on the statement of the Revolutionary Guard Corps by the semi-official Fars News Agency, it was noted that more than 10 oil tankers that did not heed the repeated warnings that the Strait of Hormuz was not safe were struck with various munitions and rendered unusable.

The report stated that the Strait of Hormuz was under wartime conditions and that there was a possibility of damage to ships from missiles or rogue drones, and therefore, ships should not pass through this area.

COUNTER MOVE FROM TRUMP

Meanwhile, following Iran's decision to close the Strait of Hormuz, a move came from U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump announced that they would protect the ships in the Strait, stating, "I have instructed that political risk insurance and financial security guarantees be provided for all maritime trade passing through the Gulf. The U.S. Navy will begin escorting tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible if necessary."
