Kafa Radio's Technical Director Murat Seymen was a guest on the Kariyer4.0 program hosted by Ebru Toğuşlu in the Haberler.com studio. Seymen evaluated how the radio industry has adapted to technological transformation, stating, "Radio is a medium that can easily adapt to technology." He also discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on broadcasting.
In today's rapidly digitalizing world, the radio sector is also taking its share of the transformation. Murat Seymen, the Technical Director of Kafa Radio, evaluated the effects of artificial intelligence on radio and the changes occurring in the industry.
"RADIO AND TECHNOLOGY EVOLVE TOGETHER"
Murat Seymen stated that radio has always been a medium that quickly adapts to technological innovations. Seymen, who said, "It is impossible for radio to be distant from technology," noted that artificial intelligence could create positive effects in the industry, but it is currently not possible for it to take complete control.
HOW WILL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AFFECT RADIO BROADCASTING?
Seymen pointed out that artificial intelligence has rapidly spread after the pandemic, stating, "It is still too early to hand over an entire content or program to artificial intelligence." He also emphasized that the emotional bond that radio establishes with its listeners cannot be achieved through artificial intelligence.
CAN RADIOS COMPETE WITH MUSIC PLATFORMS?
Evaluating how traditional radio has adapted to changing listener habits, Seymen said, "Nowadays, people follow and watch unique content." He mentioned that radios are in competition with music platforms and added that he currently does not think a radio managed entirely by artificial intelligence could generate revenue.
