In Iran, following statements by U.S. President Donald Trump suggesting that he could target power plants and bridges, Iranian citizens held protests in various cities today.

HUMAN CHAINS FORMED AT CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE POINTS

Reports from international media organizations indicated that thousands of people gathered, particularly around energy facilities and bridges, to form human chains in order to protect these areas against potential attacks. It was noted that Iranians intensified their protests following Trump's call for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and his threats that "irreversible consequences" could occur otherwise.

In the city of Ahvaz, crowds carrying Iranian flags were seen gathering on a bridge. Similarly, groups were reported to have come together at an energy plant in Fars Province. Additionally, a large-scale demonstration was reported to have taken place around the nuclear power plant in Bushehr. Similar actions were also noted in front of an energy plant in Kazerun.

U.S. MEDIA BLAMES IRANIAN GOVERNMENT: THEY USED CHILDREN AS A SHIELD

On the other hand, U.S.-based media outlet Fox News published footage of the protests, claiming that "the Iranian government encouraged young people and children to participate in these actions and used children as a shield." Fox News suggested that "this situation could be contrary to international law."
