Agricultural and livestock activities are being carried out on the island. Investors are showing interest in the region.

Located 12 kilometers from the district center, the island, which is part of the Gölkaşı neighborhood on the shores of Lake Beyşehir, is known as "Chechen Island." On this rectangular-shaped island, which is 2 kilometers long and has a view of Anamas Mountain and the lake, agriculture and livestock are being practiced.

Small livestock and agricultural machinery are being transported to the island, which is 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, by boat. The owner, who decided to sell the island inherited through inheritance, has agreed with a real estate company. Some interested parties, especially investors, are coming to the region to conduct field research on the area, which is being offered for sale at 9 dollars per square meter.

"THE PRICE OF THE ISLAND IS AROUND 165 MILLION LIRA"

The headman of Gölkaşı neighborhood, Ali Navruz, stated that there are multiple islands connected to the neighborhood. Explaining that agriculture and livestock are carried out on some islands, Navruz said, "Chechen Island has been put up for sale. Its price has been determined to be around 165 million lira. It is a total of 550 acres in size. Livestock and agriculture are being practiced on this island. It is now for sale. I know it has a single title deed. Recently, there were some visitors, but apparently, they could not reach an agreement," he said.

Navruz noted that access to the island is possible with a raft and boat, which they have built with their own means, capable of carrying loads of up to 10 tons. Samet Ok, the owner of the real estate company handling the sale of the island, also stated, "Selling an island in Konya is exciting. There is no such place in the city. This is the only island for sale. It stretches 2 kilometers from north to south, and the east-west section reaches up to 400 meters. It is a place of natural beauty. There is a lot of demand. The price per square meter has been set at 9 US dollars. We are waiting for our customers," he said.
