Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, who made a statement on the matter, said, "We are facing yet another attack by Israel on the press to hide the truth. I have learned that CNN Türk reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman have been detained in Israel. We are making the necessary efforts for our journalist friends to be released as soon as possible and are closely monitoring the situation."

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated, "The detention of CNN Türk reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman by Israeli forces is an attack on press freedom. This detention decision is unacceptable. Journalists must be released immediately. We are closely following the issue."

Reporting is not a crime! This attitude is unacceptable. In this context, our journalist friends must be released immediately. Israel cannot cover up the truth in this way."
