Istanbul Police Chief Selami Yıldız reacted to the social media reference to Esenyurt as "Esencılıs." Stating that "Esenyurt is not Esencılıs," Yıldız pointed out that the name of the district is being deliberately distorted and added, "Our people have embraced Esenyurt as their homeland."
Recently, a clear statement came from Istanbul Provincial Police Chief Selami Yıldız regarding the term "Esencılıs" used for Esenyurt in social media and some news agencies. Yıldız emphasized that such expressions create a false perception in the public.

In his statement regarding the issue, Police Chief Yıldız said, "Esenyurt is Esenyurt. It is not Esencılıs. Our people have embraced Esenyurt as their homeland and have expressed its name that way."
