Prince William earned $30 million in income from the Duchy of Cornwall estate in the 2023-2024 fiscal year. The 42-year-old William obtained this income from the Duchy of Cornwall, which he inherited when his father, King Charles III, ascended to the throne in September 2022. Along with the estate, William also took on the title of Duke of Cornwall and assumed various new responsibilities. These include being the patron of the Football Association (FA), authority over the Welsh Guards Benevolent Fund and the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, and presidency of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association. The Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate that supports the official, charitable, and private activities of William, Kate Middleton, and their three children. With a value of over $1 billion, this estate was established in 1337 and covers an area of 530 square kilometers across the United Kingdom. The estate is managed in a sustainable and community-oriented manner. William voluntarily pays income tax on the surplus income. The 2023-2024 year marked the first year that William and his family received the full income from the estate. Last year, the Duchy earned $29 million, but William only received a portion of it. This year, however, William benefited from the full $30 million income.
