The owner of Antakya Gazetesi, Sinan Seyfittinoğlu, fell asleep after drinking alcohol with his friends at home. In the morning, a friend who entered his room to wake him found Seyfittinoğlu dead. It was learned that Seyfittinoğlu had no signs of injury on his body and that he had bipolar disorder, for which he was continuously taking medication.

A suspicious death incident occurred in the building located on 445th Street in the Altınkum neighborhood of the Konyaaltı district of Antalya. Sinan Seyfittinoğlu (53), the owner of Antakya Newspaper, drank alcohol at his home last night with his roommate Önder K. and other friends. At the end of the night, all of his friends except for his roommate left for their homes, and Seyfittinoğlu went to his room to sleep.

FOUND DEAD IN HIS ROOM

In the morning hours, Önder K. entered the room to wake his friend, and despite all his efforts, when Seyfittinoğlu did not wake up, the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Teams were dispatched to the address upon the notification. The medical team that arrived shortly determined that Sinan Seyfittinoğlu had passed away.

AN AUTOPSY WILL BE PERFORMED

After the work of the Crime Scene Investigation team, which arrived at the address due to the suspicious nature of the death, Seyfittinoğlu's lifeless body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy. Friends experienced great sadness as Seyfittinoğlu's body was transferred to the funeral vehicle.

NO SIGNS OF INJURY

It was determined that there were no signs of injury from firearms, stabbing, cutting tools, or physical assault on Sinan Seyfittinoğlu's body. It was learned that Seyfittinoğlu had bipolar disorder, was on medication continuously, and frequently came to Antalya after the earthquakes that struck Hatay and 10 other provinces on February 6, 2023. The investigation by the teams regarding the incident is ongoing.
