The new Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, who took the oath amid the turmoil in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, remained under a tight security circle formed by AK Party deputies throughout the ceremony. Due to the opposition's occupation of the podium and physical interventions, Gürlek was able to reach the podium only with this protective shield, and to prevent any potential attack, he was escorted out of the Parliament building after the oath with the intense protection of AK Party deputies once again.
