Kazanforum Delivers 120 Deals

This year’s event gathered over 20,000 participants from 87 countries, including 40 diplomatic missions from Europe, Asia and Africa.

KazanForum 2024 yielded 120 agreements from education to health cooperation, according to organizers on Thursday.

"This year we signed 120 agreements on the platform," said Talia Minullina, the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.

"Among them, we can mention agreements on the land grain project, on sports, culture, education, innovations, information technologies, employment, and migration policy," Minullina added.

More than 20,000 participants from 87 countries, including 40 diplomatic missions from Europe, Asia, and Africa took part in the event in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, the statement said.

The business program of the forum focused on international cooperation, Islamic finance and investment, halal industry, science and technology, cooperation in business, infrastructural development, human resources, tourism, and culture. Anadolu was the global communications partner of the five-day event which ran between May 14-19.

Experts at the forum discussed the potential benefits of cooperation between Russia and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in finance and logistics.

Earlier, speaking during the event, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that Russia's trade turnover with the OIC countries increased by 31% last year.​​​​​​​ -
