While the departure of both players from the yellow-red team was on the agenda, their agents made statements. Kerem's agent, William D'Avila, closed the doors to the transfer with the words "Kerem will not transfer to Spartak Moscow." Derrick's agent, Ömer Uzun, said, "Derrick currently prefers to stay at Galatasaray. I have no information about Spartak Moscow's offer."
