Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu filed a criminal complaint against journalist Nevşin Mengü and academic Dr. Emrah Gülsunar on charges of 'insult' and 'defamation.'
The investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegations of "vote buying for money" during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023, is ongoing.
STRIKING ALLEGATIONS FROM NEVŞİN MENGÜ
Recently, journalist Nevşin Mengü made striking allegations regarding former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the legal process. In a broadcast on her YouTube channel, Mengü stated, "The information I received from very reliable sources in Ankara is as follows: the prosecutor conveyed this message, 'Kemal Bey comes, gives a statement here, and if he says, 'Is it possible for there to be corruption in the CHP? I was the chairman at that time, and such a thing did not happen at the congress I organized. I do not accept it,' we will close this case.' Such a message was sent, but Kılıçdaroğlu still did not go to give a statement," she said.
"THIS PERSON SHOULD BE EXPELLED FROM THE PARTY AND SPIT ON EVERYWHERE"
Academician Dr. Emrah Gülsunar, who quoted the video containing Mengü's allegations about Kılıçdaroğlu, stated, "This is the point where words end. It is a clear dishonor and disgrace for a person to try to regain the chairmanship lost through the regime's unlawful judicial operation. This person should be expelled from the party and spit on everywhere," he said.
KILIÇDAROĞLU FILED A LAWSUIT
Kılıçdaroğlu took action regarding the allegations and statements. Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik, filed a criminal complaint two days ago with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against journalist Nevşin Mengü and academician Dr. Emrah Gülsunar on the grounds of 'insult' and 'slander.'
