North Korean leader Kim Jong-un could not hold back his tears during a ceremony held for North Korean soldiers who lost their lives in Russia's war in Ukraine.

At the ceremony, Kim covered the coffins with the North Korean flag and became quite emotional while commemorating the soldiers. Thousands of people were present in the hall during the ceremony, the orchestra played sorrowful music, and women sang on stage. The images were projected onto a large screen, and moments of Kim crying were shown to everyone.

Approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers had been sent to the Ukrainian front to fight alongside Russia. However, these soldiers were not adequately prepared, and many lost their lives. They were particularly vulnerable to modern warfare techniques, such as drone attacks.

During the ceremony, Kim was seen leaning his hands on the coffins and looking at them with deep emotion. Other attendees in the hall, including North Korean and Russian soldiers, were also quite moved.

This memorial event was presented as a sign of military and political cooperation between North Korea and Russia. State media stated that this ceremony reinforced the friendship between the two countries as a "brotherhood forged in blood."

Additionally, Russia's Minister of Culture, Olga Lyubimova, also attended the ceremony. She had come to North Korea to mark the anniversary of the mutual defense agreement signed between Putin and Kim last year. This agreement includes a promise that the two countries will militarily protect each other.

It is also believed that Russia has provided military information to North Korea, such as missile technologies and air defense systems.

After months of speculation, the two countries finally admitted that North Korean soldiers were indeed fighting for Russia. It is reported that these soldiers particularly fought in Russia's Kursk region and suffered heavy losses in surprise attacks organized by Ukraine.

It is also stated that these soldiers played a significant role in Russia's efforts to regain lost territories in March.

Now, North Korea is expected to send another 6,000 soldiers during the summer months. However, this situation is condemned by many countries, especially South Korea and Japan. South Korea claims that this assistance violates United Nations sanctions.
