Last moments caught on security camera! Lifeless bodies of fishermen on the capsized boat were found.

The lifeless bodies of 2 people who disappeared in the lake where they went fishing in the 19 May district of Samsun were found. The last moments of the fishermen were captured on security cameras.

BOAT CAPSIZED

The incident occurred around 14:00 in Ulugöl, located in the Yörükler area of the 19 May district. Mehmet Erdinli and Hayrettin Ertuğrul, who went fishing by boat from the Yörükler Fisheries Cooperative, fell into the water after the boat capsized for an unknown reason. Other fishermen who witnessed the incident reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

LIFELESS BODIES FOUND

Health, gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK), Police Underwater Search and Rescue, AFAD, and Metropolitan Municipality search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. Gendarmerie teams conducted a search operation in the lake using a drone but could not reach the individuals. The teams that went into the lake started working to find the two missing people. The teams first found the clothes and cell phones of Mehmet Erdinli and Hayrettin Ertuğrul near the shore of the lake where the capsized boats were. The teams, who continued their work, first reached the body of Mehmet Erdinli. After a while, the lifeless body of Hayrettin Ertuğrul was also recovered from the water. The bodies of the 2 people recovered from the water were taken to the 19 May State Hospital.

Veli Aydın, the headman of Yörükler Neighborhood, said, "They come here around 14:00. Both of them are members of the cooperative. They go out to the lake from here. Then their friends here haven't heard from them since around 16:00. They called me, and I called the president. Then we informed the gendarmerie. They have been fishing here for years" - SAMSUN
