A farmer from Çanakkale, who protested against the price drop of peppers he sold for 15 TL last year to 6 TL this year, dumped his products onto the street. Expressing that the price offered for the product does not cover the costs, the farmer said, "Has a war broken out? What happened?" to voice his frustration.

As inflation rises, the purchasing power of citizens decreases, while farmers producing goods are complaining about not being able to sell their products. We saw the latest example of this in Çanakkale.
