In a hotel in Manavgat, Antalya, holidaymakers claimed that staff members who had not received their salaries went on strike and that they were suffering due to power outages. Some vacationers, who also experienced issues with cleaning and meals, left the hotel due to the negative circumstances. However, the hotel management denied the allegations, arguing that the problem was caused by TEDAŞ (the Turkish Electricity Distribution Company).

Holidaymakers staying at a hotel in the Manavgat district of Antalya expressed their grievances, stating that they were victims due to the workers' strike over unpaid wages and the lack of electricity. The hotel's general manager claimed that a strike was not the case and that power outages could happen.

Holidaymakers staying at a hotel in Evrenseki Neighborhood stated that the workers went on strike due to claims of not receiving their wages and that they had been suffering from a power outage since last night. They complained that there was insufficient cleaning in the hotel due to the workers' strike and that the food portions were small.

"STAFF HAVEN'T RECEIVED SALARIES FOR 1.5 MONTHS"

A holidaymaker from abroad, Aydın Akçalan, stated that he and his wife and three children were in a terrible situation, saying, "I have never seen such a holiday, such a disgraceful hotel. Our circumstances turned out this way. The hotel is filthy, the walls are leaking. We are without electricity, the air conditioning hasn't worked since last night. The cleanliness is very poor. The staff haven't received their salaries for 1.5 months. They are also right. What will happen to us? We are in a miserable situation. We have endured every hardship for 10 days. We paid 2,500 euros. All-inclusive," he said.

"WE ENDURED BUT WE WERE HUMILIATED"

Osman Baloğlu, who came for a holiday with his wife and two children from Gaziantep, said, "Since the day we checked into the hotel, there has been no electricity every day, and the staff are not working. The food portions are small, there is no tea, no coffee. We planned to stay here for about 7-8 days. We have endured for 4 days, but we have been humiliated. We paid 40,800 lira for 2 adults and 2 children. They told us they would refund 13,000 lira for the remaining 3 nights," he reacted to the situation.

HOTEL MANAGER DENIES THE ALLEGATIONS

The hotel's general manager, İbrahim Üstüntaş, claimed that there was no strike by the staff, stating, "There was a victimization due to the electricity issue. Other than that, we have no problems. The complaints of the guests staying at the hotel are normal occurrences in life. The electricity went out in TEDAŞ's system last night. That's the situation. Today, the staff salaries will also be paid, we have no problems. All of these are normal occurrences in life. We can also lose electricity at home; we can be without electricity until morning. This is not related to the hotel; it is related to TEDAŞ. We have no electricity debt," he said.

Meanwhile, it was observed that some holidaymakers left the hotel due to the negative experiences they encountered.
