Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered a 10-day ban on access to social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk. Maduro claimed that X spreads hatred and violence in Venezuela. Speaking to his supporters at the Miraflores Palace in the capital city of Caracas, Maduro argued that X spreads hatred and violence in Venezuela. He stated that he had spoken with the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) and instructed them to remove X from circulation for 10 days. Leave, Elon Musk. We have a constitution and a state in Venezuela, and you must respect them," he said. Maduro asked his supporters to stand by his decision and stated, "I am confident that new social media platforms will emerge in Venezuela, apart from WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok." American billionaire Elon Musk claimed that "election fraud" had occurred. Maduro, in response to Musk's accusations, said, "Do you want a fight, Elon Musk? I am ready. I am the son of Bolivar, the son of Chavez, and I am not afraid of you." Maduro accused Musk, whom he declared as Venezuela's enemy, of inciting violence in the country. In his response, Musk stated that if he won the duel, he would ask Maduro to resign from dictatorship and send him to Mars for free with his company SpaceX. Meanwhile, Maduro claimed during a speech on the balcony of the Miraflores Palace after winning the election that he was certain Musk was behind the hacker attack on the National Electoral Council.
