Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who made headlines with images of him deleting WhatsApp during a live broadcast, has ordered a 10-day ban on access to the X platform owned by American billionaire Elon Musk. Maduro stated, "X, owned by Elon Musk, has violated all laws. It's time to stop spreading fascism, civil war, death, and hatred in this country."

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered a 10-day ban on access to social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk. Maduro claimed that X spreads hatred and violence in Venezuela.

Speaking to his supporters at the Miraflores Palace in the capital city of Caracas, Maduro argued that X spreads hatred and violence in Venezuela. He stated that he had spoken with the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) and instructed them to remove X from circulation for 10 days.

"X HAS VIOLATED ALL LAWS"

Maduro expressed his reaction to American billionaire Musk, saying, "X, owned by Elon Musk, has violated all laws. Stop spreading fascism, civil war, death, and hatred in this country. X has violated all laws in Venezuela. We have laws in Venezuela, and we will respect them. X, leave Venezuela for 10 days. Leave, Elon Musk. We have a constitution and a state in Venezuela, and you must respect them," he said. Maduro asked his supporters to stand by his decision and stated, "I am confident that new social media platforms will emerge in Venezuela, apart from WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok."

HE DELETED WHATSAPP DURING A LIVE BROADCAST

Nicolas Maduro had deleted WhatsApp during a live broadcast, citing that some groups in the country were spreading violence and hatred through the application.

MADURO DECLARED MUSK AS VENEZUELA'S ENEMY

Venezuelan President Maduro won the presidential election in the country for the third time on July 28.

American billionaire Elon Musk claimed that "election fraud" had occurred. Maduro, in response to Musk's accusations, said, "Do you want a fight, Elon Musk? I am ready. I am the son of Bolivar, the son of Chavez, and I am not afraid of you." Maduro accused Musk, whom he declared as Venezuela's enemy, of inciting violence in the country. In his response, Musk stated that if he won the duel, he would ask Maduro to resign from dictatorship and send him to Mars for free with his company SpaceX. Meanwhile, Maduro claimed during a speech on the balcony of the Miraflores Palace after winning the election that he was certain Musk was behind the hacker attack on the National Electoral Council.
