Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his readiness to work together to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace during a phone conversation with the new U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump stated that he would "work to stop the war" and looked forward to collaborating with all parties to "bring peace to the Middle East."

Re-elected as president in the USA, Trump spoke on the phone with Palestinian President Abbas. Abbas expressed his readiness to work with Trump to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace.
