CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal met with the youth in Saraçhane. Tanal, who tried to persuade the young people to disperse, experienced mutual dialogues. The youth stated that they were there to defend their rights and protect their homeland. Tanal, on the other hand, expressed that there would be no rights at this hour.
Thousands of citizens reacted to the process that started with the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and continued with his arrest, organizing protest demonstrations in many cities, especially in Saraçhane. Notable moments occurred during the protests that have been ongoing since March 19.
