Mahsum Altunkaya, Chairman of the Board of Altunkaya Group of Companies based in Gaziantep, has been elected as the president of the DEIK Turkey-Syria Business Council. He stated that he will work to increase the trade volume between the two countries, develop economic collaborations, and implement sectoral projects in the new term. Emphasizing that Syria is important for Turkey, Altunkaya expressed that enhancing relations with the neighboring and brotherly country Syria is of great significance.
At the general assembly where the elections of 153 business councils took place in Istanbul, Mahsum Altunkaya, Chairman of the Board of Altunkaya Group of Companies based in Gaziantep, was elected as the chairman of the DEIK Turkey-Syria Business Council.

Mahsum Altunkaya, the businessman elected as the chairman of the DEIK Turkey-Syria Business Council, emphasized the importance of developing collaborations between the two countries. Stating that there are historical and cultural ties with our neighboring country Syria that date back centuries, Chairman Mahsum Altunkaya said: "Syria is important to us. It is a neighboring and brotherly country. Developing relations in every sense between the two countries is important for both us and Syria. In the new term, as the DEIK Turkey-Syria Business Council, we will work to increase the trade volume between the two countries, develop economic collaborations, and implement sectoral projects."
