A major company merger is taking place in the fuel sector. Mehmet Abbasoğlu, the CEO of Petrol Ofisi, announced that the company has approved the acquisition of BP's Turkey and its subsidiaries, which has more than 700 stations in Turkey and announced its withdrawal from Turkey in November.

Last November, Petrol Ofisi announced that it would take over BP Turkey's fuel operations. Petrol Ofisi CEO Mehmet Abbasoğlu announced that he approved the acquisition of BP Turkey and its subsidiaries by Petrol Ofisi.

WHAT HAPPENED?

BP, which has been operating in Turkey since 1912 and has more than 700 stations, announced in November that it would withdraw from Turkey. The Petrol Ofisi Group announced that it had signed a share purchase agreement to acquire BP's fuel operations in Turkey. With the acquisition, Petrol Ofisi, which currently has 1935 dealers, will have 2,705 dealers nationwide.
