Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 567 suspects were apprehended and 209 of them were arrested in operations related to cyber crimes conducted in 37 provinces.

209 PEOPLE ARRESTED

It was determined that the suspects possessed indecent images of children, engaged in illegal betting and gambling, facilitated illegal money transfers, and advertised these activities. They accessed citizens' mobile banking accounts to gain unfair profits and defrauded citizens using themes such as 'low-interest loans, investment consultancy, product sales, visa applications, rental cars.'

In the operations, 567 suspects were caught, 209 were arrested, and judicial control measures were applied to 112. The procedures for the others are ongoing.
