The Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB), Mansur Yavaş, made a statement regarding the claims that payments of 69 million, 71 million, and 80 million were made for the celebrations and concerts of the October 29 Republic Day. Yavaş, who announced that the investigation he initiated after the allegations has been completed, stated that he would make a statement on the matter on Monday, November 11, at 15:00. Stating that everyone who made a mistake is being investigated, Yavaş said, "I will make a statement on Monday at 15:00. I want all of Turkey to watch it and see what the accounts are. Those who made mistakes will go to the prosecutor's office. So far, we have not hidden anything. All allegations will be investigated in my municipality. Some of my bureaucrats are upset about the investigations, but it is good for them to be cleared. When an objection is raised, we definitely inspect it. The Culture Department is the one that conducted this tender, and if there are any mistakes here, they will take the necessary actions." he stated. Finally, Yavaş said, "Our greatest principle is to show that work can be done without stealing."
