In the Lice district of Diyarbakır, the death toll rose to 7 in a traffic accident caused by a minibus overturning while heading to Muş for an engagement ceremony. In the accident, 9 people were injured, 1 of them seriously.
Seven people lost their lives when a minibus overturned in the Lice district of Diyarbakır.
A minibus, whose driver's identity has not yet been learned, went out of control and overturned at the rural Karahasan Neighborhood location on the Lice-Kulp highway. Upon the notification, 112 Emergency Health, fire brigade, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. In the accident, 7 people lost their lives, and 9 people were injured, 1 of them seriously.
THEY WERE GOING TO AN ENGAGEMENT CEREMONY
The injured were taken to hospitals in the city after the first intervention by health teams. It was learned that the passengers in the minibus had set out from Diyarbakır to Muş to attend an engagement ceremony.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
In a statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that the traffic accident occurred around 09:00 in the Heylo hamlet of the Karahasan Neighborhood in the Lice district.
The statement included the following:
"A necessary investigation and inquiry have been initiated regarding the accident. We wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives, condolences to their relatives, and a speedy recovery to our injured citizens."
