The mother of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life in a knife attack, Yasemin Minguzzi, along with families who lost their children in different incidents, held a sit-in at Bakırköy Freedom Square.

While the trial process regarding the stabbing death of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi (15) continues in Kadıköy on January 24, his mother Yasemin Minguzzi started a sit-in at Bakırköy Freedom Square.

STRONG SUPPORT FOR THE SIT-IN

On the second day of the protest, singer Ece Seçkin and families who lost their children in different incidents also came to the square to support Minguzzi. During the protest, which started in the evening, slogans such as 'Justice for Mattia Ahmet' and 'No to individual armament' were chanted.

"EVEN IF IT IS POSTPONED, I WILL NOT LET IT FALL OFF THE AGENDA"

Singer Ece Seçkin, who came to support Yasemin Minguzzi and other families, read a text written by Yasemin Minguzzi.

The text read, "While we are in pain, you see that some are caught in a frenzy of a grotesque figure that would make even the stomach turn. We are asking for support with two lines written on social media. There is nothing else we can do; this is a great helplessness, a pain that is very hard to bear.

Imagine being operated on while fully conscious without anesthesia. Think about being operated on alive without anesthesia, your consciousness is open, and you experience this pain again and again every day. Personally, I owe no one a debt of gratitude; I am not indebted to anyone except the people who are with me. I am not in a position to bow before anyone, thank God. You know what? This family has a debt of life, a debt of justice. Even if it is postponed to 2027, I will not let it fall off the agenda," the text stated.

After the reading of the text, Yasemin Minguzzi also read the threatening messages they received while the trial process continues.
