A medic was killed and another injured on Friday in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, said a report.
The country's official news agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle belonging to the Hezbollah-run Islamic Health Organization in Naqoura town, resulting in the death of one medic and the injury of another.
Hezbollah ramped up its attacks on Friday with heavy rockets and drones targeting Israeli sites and settlements in response to Israel's shelling of villages and towns in southern Lebanon.
The group reported in several statements that it targeted a building used by Israeli soldiers in the Shomera settlement with appropriate weaponry.
Hezbollah added that it also struck the Ramot Naftali settlement in northern Insrael with a barrage of rockets.
In another statement, the group claimed to have attacked with assault drones Iron Dome platforms and their crews in the Zaura area, causing damage and fires.
Earlier in the day, Hezbollah said that it targeted the Branit barracks (headquarters of the 91st Division) with heavy Borkan rockets, causing fires and significant damage.
Additionally, the group reported that it fired heavy rockets at the al-Baghdadi site, achieving a direct hit.
Tension has flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
The cross-border escalation comes amid an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 36,240 people since an attack on Oct. 7 by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.
