Merve Nur Yararlık (22), who lost her life in a shooting attack while sitting in a café at the entrance of a shopping mall in Diyarbakır yesterday, has been laid to rest. In her statement, S.K. (21), who was injured in the incident, said that she had a phone argument with the suspect B.A. (25) during the day and that the incident occurred after they shared their location on social media in the evening.
Last night, B.A. opened fire with a gun from outside at a café located at the entrance of a shopping center on the Şanlıurfa highway. The bullet from the gun hit Merve Nur Yararlık, who was sitting in the café, in the neck.
DIED IN THE SHOPPING CENTER
In the incident captured by security cameras, S.K. was also injured. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The teams determined that Yararlık had lost her life during the check. Merve Nur Yararlık's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy.
S.K. was taken to the hospital for treatment after the first intervention. Merve Nur Yararlık's body was buried in the Yeniköy Cemetery in the morning after the autopsy procedures.
WORK CONTINUES TO CAPTURE THE SUSPECT
While S.K. continues to receive treatment in the hospital, in his statement, he said that he and the suspect B.A. were friends, that they had a phone argument during the day, and that the incident occurred after they shared a photo from the café they were at in the evening. Police teams are continuing their efforts to capture the suspect, who fled in a car and has a record of many crimes.
