President Erdogan held a joint press conference with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Becirovic. Erdogan stated that any negative development in Bosnia and Herzegovina would pose a threat to the stability of the entire Balkans. He also delivered a message regarding the killing of Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi by Israeli soldiers. "WE WILL HOLD ACCOUNTABLE FOR AYŞENUR"Erdogan expressed that the account of Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, whose funeral was brought to Turkey today and bid farewell with a funeral ceremony held in Aydın Didim, will be demanded. He stated, "We are experiencing a similar massacre to the one that took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 90s in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories today. Just as the perpetrators of the Srebrenica genocide were convicted in international courts, the perpetrators of what happened in Gaza will also be held accountable. We will definitely hold accountable Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, our child who was killed by Israel along with more than 41,000 Gazans, in front of justice." Highlights from Erdogan's statements; "We had a very productive meeting. We discussed in detail the Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations. We exchanged ideas about regional developments with a focus on the Balkans. We discussed the steps to be taken at the United Nations against the genocide in Gaza and against Israel. As you all know, since the declaration of independence, we have always been by the side of Bosnia and Herzegovina and we will continue to be. We also continue to provide strong support for its territorial integrity and sovereignty. With our membership in the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council, we contribute to the peace and stability of both Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region." "ANY NEGATIVE DEVELOPMENT POSES A THREAT TO THE STABILITY OF THE BALKANS"We must not forget the fact that any negative development in Bosnia and Herzegovina poses a threat to the stability of the entire Balkans. In this context, I hope that the local elections to be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 6 will be completed peacefully and bring good results. "WE DO NOT FIND THIS FIGURE SUFFICIENT"We expect bilateral trade volume to reach 1 billion dollars by the end of this year. Of course, we do not find this figure sufficient. In this regard, we discussed what can be done to increase mutual trade. We also discussed the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway. I shared my wish for the project to be completed as soon as possible with the President. I also conveyed to my dear brother that we will continue to support projects for the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in energy and infrastructure. It is pleasing that Turkish citizens ranked first among the tourists visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first 7 months of this year, surpassing neighboring countries."
