The leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, issued a holiday message. In Bahçeli's message, there were harsh statements directed at the Republican People's Party (CHP), while there was praise for the Democracy and Progress Party (DEM Party). Bahçeli stated, "The statements of DEM Party Co-Chair Bakırhan, emphasizing common sense and calmness, saying 'We are not the activist base of the CHP,' are valuable and commendable."

The Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, issued a message on the occasion of Ramadan Bayram. In his message, Bahçeli harshly criticized the CHP over corruption and terrorism investigations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Bahçeli stated, "The statements of DEM Party Co-Chair Bakırhan, emphasizing common sense and calmness, saying 'We are not the activist masses of the CHP,' are valuable and commendable."

Bahçeli's full statement is as follows:

"Following the blessed month of Ramadan, we experience both the joy and the sadness of reaching the festive days. We feel sadness because we are leaving behind the blessed month of Ramadan, the sultan of eleven months, which begins with mercy, is in the middle with forgiveness, and ends with salvation from the torment of hell. My prayer to God is that we may reach it again. Ramadan Bayram is the material and spiritual reward of the fasting ritual, or more accurately, the reward of the month of Ramadan. It is my sincere and genuine wish to be worthy and deserving of this reward. Festivals are precious periods when the feelings of peace and brotherhood transition from potential to action, and the need for embrace and unity strengthens and blossoms. The time for mending the hearts of those who are estranged, those who are offended, and those who have broken hearts is undoubtedly during the festivals, and it should be so. A festival is an opportunity for effective unity, continuous peace, and meaningful goodness. The waste and squandering of this opportunity will not be tolerated or permitted by God or by the nation. Peace and tranquility are of a permanent nature for humanity, society, and the nation. Our national goal is to transform our country into a permanent festival place, thereby opening clenched fists, overcoming prejudices, and casting aside fears to reveal an environment of love and greeting, like a gem waiting to be polished. This important and distinguished goal inherently requires patience, sincerity, trust, honesty, empathy, tolerance, attention, and deliberation.

"LIKE FLIES ON FILTH."

The goal that materializes as a "Turkey without terrorism" will, God willing, be achieved, and more importantly, it will find resonance in the great Turkish nation. No country will be able to match the speed and ambition of a Turkey where illegal bloody weapons are buried and the scope of democratic politics is defined and described. As our late thinker Ziya Gökalp expressed, the owl of despair will not find a nest in the hearts of any of our people. The climate of majesty, mercy, and satisfaction of the festival days will, God willing, constitute the moon, source, and social and psychological mechanism of the concept of a Turkey without terrorism. Since our intention is pure, our ultimate fortune will also be good. No trap, no conspiracy, no plot, no orchestrated arrangement will disrupt our determination. Of course, there are internal and external forces that are frightened by the goal and effort of a Turkey without terrorism, and this group, whose essence is tainted, has recently become increasingly evident. Those who cannot digest our determination for peace, democracy, and brotherhood have swarmed like flies on filth, organizing actions to undermine and sabotage historically significant developments.

There is a fifth column activity, connected externally, aimed at muddying the purpose and desire of a Turkey without terrorism, even breaking its back. Indeed, during a period when hopes for peace between Russia and Ukraine are blossoming, when positive agendas are manifesting in the Syrian Arab Republic, and when political stability aspirations are being gradually achieved, an issue of legal nature has been dragged into the whirlpool of streets and boycotts, and the atmosphere of internal order and peace has been poisoned. Unfortunately, the Republican People's Party (CHP) has opened a front of evil and violence against the Republic of Turkey. The legacy of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has been turned into spoils. Every citizen of ours, who is simple in the external world and rich in the internal world, as well as devout, honorable, and with national and spiritual sensitivities rising like a minaret, has seen the attacks and sabotage against our country and has read the malicious games.

"A FASCIST UPRISING HAS OCCURRED"

Distorting a legal case to polarize with the ballot box is not just carelessness but malice. The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has been tainted; the allegations of corruption, bribery, and theft have brought to mind the saying that "the salt has gone bad." Between March 19, 2025, and March 23, 2025, a fascist uprising has occurred from outside to squeeze Turkey into the streets and make it unable to breathe. The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has been trapped in the hands and political ambitions of those who steal, those who block roads, and those who violate the duties of the mayor by filling their pockets and bank accounts. The eradication of this scandal and illegal corruption swamp, and holding the perpetrators and criminals accountable, is an obligation that cannot be neglected in a state governed by law. In the Republic of Turkey, the law is supreme. To clash democracy with the law, to attempt to cover up treason with national will, and to unjustly exonerate and protect individuals who are at the center of serious accusations under the pretext of being elected is a service to anarchy and disorder. Such a basis and graduation have not been granted to anyone, nor will they be. The Mayor of Istanbul and nearly 50 individuals at the center of the corruption allegations have been arrested. The investigation and prosecution processes must be carried out swiftly; those who are guilty and those who are innocent must be distinguished and ensured. The law is necessary for everyone. Opposing the law, belittling legal professionals, and questioning the scales of justice is a covert operation against the sovereign rights of the state and the dignity of the nation's existence. The summary of this nefarious operation is to set Turkey on fire. The days-long clashes of the CHP Chairman and chaos-loving supporters in Saraçhane, creating a widespread and intense crisis spiral, are an unprecedented act of lawlessness and shamelessness in any democratic and civilized country. The path of seeking rights in Turkey is clear and open to everyone. Those who claim to defend democracy, law, and freedom, even if only in words, who are held hostage by their hatred and anger, and who attack the security forces of the state with acid, stones, axes, Molotov cocktails, slingshots, and fireworks while pouring into the streets, have a different main concern, and this has become clear. The indecent treatment of Şehzadebaşı Mosque and the insults and curses directed at it, as well as the provocations in Saraçhane, are not clear evidence of the purposes of the games being played there; what else could they be?

"THE CHP'S SECRET ACCOUNT IS TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT WITH THE STREETS"

The CHP Chairman's call to the streets, boycott calls, and messages to "destroy and move on" are not merely the actions of a politician in a shabby and disheveled state, but rather a conscious, systematic, and anti-democratic attempt and test that damages the nerve endings of the nation. Especially the suggestions and utterances regarding the boycott of some media organizations with local and national firms are a clear sign that Özgür Özel has gone off the rails.

The dark protests led by the CHP are more despotic, worthless, unbalanced, and extremely threatening than democratic in nature. Just as in the events that took place in Gezi Park, the Turkish economy has been targeted. Twelve different organizations have spread poison and disgrace in the streets under the wings of the CHP. Masked urban thugs have taken the stage. While support and assistance are needed to investigate theft and corruption and bring the truths to light, hostile attitudes and behaviors have occupied our Turkey under the camouflage of democratic protests, causing concern among our people. The reputation of our country, democracy, and legal security have become targets. Universities have been attempted to be stirred up. It is a well-known fact that boycott and occupation lead to the same abyss. Moreover, the late İsmet İnönü's saying, "boycott is also an occupation," is etched in the national memory. The CHP's hidden agenda is to overthrow the government through the streets, igniting the fuse of occupation attempts similar to July 15. It is known that CHP members betray each other, dig each other's graves, and expose the dirty laundry of those they see as rivals within the party. Distorting a legal issue and detaching it from its true meaning cannot be considered an innocent and reasonable choice. It is evident that the corruption vein has burst in the war of factions.

"THE PROBLEM OF CHP IS AGAIN CHP"

The problem of the CHP is again the CHP. The CHP Chairman's complaints about Turkey to foreign countries, his disparagement of economic management, and his fall into a dark pit begging for help from England with a sense of abandonment have shown that the understanding of mandate and protection still exists as a living cell. Indeed, everything in the jug has leaked out. It has become clear how deeply Özgür Özel has fallen into decay. The judicial process involving the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has revealed the true face of the CHP administration, exposing its weak and inadequate stance like a litmus test. By tarnishing the honorable line of Aziz Atatürk, the CHP mentality, which begs for handouts, has filled its historical and political term with a very bad ending. The mandate-seeking CHP has faltered, stumbled, and exhausted; moreover, its bankruptcy, extravagance, and colonial politics have been documented under the lights of a series of successive scandals.

"TUNCER BAKIRHAN'S STATEMENTS ARE THREATENING"

The sensible and calm statements of DEM Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, saying, "We are not the activist base of the CHP," are valuable and commendable. The CHP's attempts to muddy the waters are doomed to fail and will not be enough to patch up the tears. The People's Alliance will uphold the ideals of the Turkish and Turkey Century; it will defend national honor, the existence of the nation, and the dignity of independence and future to the end. Every conscious freedom-loving, vigilant patriot stands against the merchants of chaos. Those who are waiting for an opportunity to take Turkish youth to the streets, and those who hide behind Turkish youth to make cheap and outrageous calculations on our country and nation will certainly not be given the opportunity, and foremost, the guarantees of our future will not turn a blind eye to this. It is not possible for the CHP to progress further with the de facto trustee of the mandate-seeking minority. The Turkish nation will regard its existence, unity, and common destiny as sacred and will not allow any shadow to fall upon it. The People's Alliance will carry in its heart and represent heroically the words of our late thinker Ziya Gökalp: "Today, the honor of the nation is our deposit." With these feelings and thoughts, I greet all the children of the homeland and the nation who have shouldered the burdens of life from east to west, north to south; I greet every brother, regardless of their ethnic origin, sect, region, or mother tongue, and I congratulate our citizens living abroad on the beautiful Ramadan holiday. I wish a blessed holiday to our compatriots living in the cultural and spiritual geography. I pray to God for the acceptance of the fasts kept and the prayers and worship performed during the month of Ramadan. I consider it a matter of life and death that all citizens who will travel during the nine-day holiday strictly adhere to traffic rules, so as not to deeply hurt their loved ones and those waiting for them. I share my wishes for eternal happiness and safety with the great Turkish nation, of which I am proud to belong. I say, may our blessed Ramadan holiday be a joyous one.
