The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, stated in his remarks regarding the minimum wage, "We will determine the minimum wage for the new year with a joint decision that will satisfy all stakeholders."
The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, made a statement regarding the minimum wage that millions of workers are eagerly awaiting. Speaking at the Bingöl Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Işıkhan said, "As you know, on Tuesday, we will hopefully start the work of our commission to determine the new minimum wage amount. I believe that we will set a minimum wage that will be valid in the new year with a joint decision that will satisfy both our employees and our employers, as well as all stakeholders in the economic life. I wish it to be beneficial for our country and our nation from now on."
"WE WILL CONTINUE TO STAND BY EVERY WORKER"
Işıkhan also stated, "Regardless of the conditions, we, as the state, have stood by every brother who works hard, produces, and adds value to our development, and we will continue to do so. We will continue to grow our country and increase our employment, starting from our cities, with a vision of investment, production, employment, and export."
THE COMMISSION WILL MEET ON DECEMBER 10
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, December 10. At the meeting hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the employer side will be represented by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK), while the worker side will be represented by TÜRK-İŞ, as it has the most members.
