Instagram was reopened at 9:30 PM.

The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that the access ban on Instagram will be lifted at 21:30.

STATEMENT FROM MINISTER URALOĞLU REGARDING "INSTAGRAM"

The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, made a statement regarding the social media platform Instagram, which has been subject to access restrictions. Minister Uraloğlu stated that META officials have accepted Turkey's conditions and that the access ban will be lifted as of 21:30.

In his statement on social media, Minister Uraloğlu said: "As the Republic of Turkey, we imposed an access ban on the social media platform Instagram on August 2nd because it did not respond to our demands regarding the policies it implemented within the framework of catalog crimes.

"WE WILL LIFT THE ACCESS BAN AT 21:30"

From the beginning, we have asked social media platforms to respect the laws of the Republic of Turkey. As a result of our negotiations with Instagram officials, they have promised to meet our demands, especially regarding catalog crimes, and to work together on the issue of censorship imposed on users. Therefore, we will lift the access ban as of 21:30."
