HALF GRANT, HALF INTEREST-FREE LOAN
Yumaklı shared the following information regarding the ministry's good news for forest villagers:
"Our first piece of good news is that we will provide a 50% grant for our women who reside in forest villages and get married or have children this year through the microcredit program. In other words, half of the loans they will use, up to 70,000 lira, will be covered by us, and the remaining half will be interest-free and payable over 4 years.
FREE SEEDLING SUPPORT
Secondly, we will provide free seedlings to our farmers who are fighting against the pine weevil and want to create a windbreak at the edge of their fields.
Another piece of good news is that we will offer income-generating and medicinal aromatic type seedlings to farmers living in forest villages at an 80% discount. Lastly, we will support farmer cooperatives in forest villages in establishing facilities for their needs such as packaging, marketing, and storage of the products they produce. May our good news be beneficial for our forest villagers and farmers."
