The U.S.-based business magazine Forbes has published the global billionaires list for 2025. Elon Musk, with a fortune of $342 billion, is the richest person in the world, while 32 businesspeople from Turkey made it onto the list. Murat Ülker is the richest person in Turkey, and Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Baykar Technology, along with Haluk Bayraktar, General Manager of Baykar, also made the list.
The US-based business magazine Forbes, which determines the world's richest people, has shared the global billionaires list for the year 2025.
MUSK AT THE TOP, ZUCKERBERG IN 2ND PLACE
This year, Elon Musk, the American entrepreneur and founder of companies including SpaceX and Tesla, topped the list of 3,028 business people with a fortune of $342 billion. Mark Zuckerberg, the American businessman and founder of the social media platform Facebook, ranked 2nd with a fortune of $216 billion, while Jeff Bezos, the American founder of the e-commerce platform Amazon, came in 3rd with $215 billion. Larry Ellison, co-founder and chairman of the software giant Oracle, earned the title of the world's 4th richest person with a fortune of $192 billion. Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH Holding, which includes 75 fashion and cosmetics brands such as Louis Vuitton and Sephora, ranked 5th on the list with a fortune of $178 billion.
Warren Buffet, known as one of the most successful investors of all time, secured the 6th position on the list with a fortune of $154 billion. Larry Page, a board member and majority shareholder of Google's parent company Alphabet, ranked 7th with a fortune of $144 billion, while Sergey Brin, another board member and majority shareholder of Alphabet, came in 8th with $138 billion. Amancio Ortega, the Spanish businessman and founder of Inditex, known for fashion brands like Zara and Bershka, found himself in 9th place on the list with a fortune of $124 billion. The 10th richest person in the world was Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of tech giant Microsoft, with a fortune of $118 billion.
TURKEY'S RICHEST IS MURAT ÜLKER
This year, 32 billionaires from Turkey managed to make it onto the list of 3,028 business people. Murat Ülker, the Chairman of Yıldız Holding, stood out as the wealthiest Turk on the list, becoming the 639th richest person in the world with a fortune of $5.5 billion.
THE BAYRAKTAR BROTHERS ARE ALSO ON THE LIST
Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of Baykar Technology, ranked 1,947th on the list with a fortune of $1.8 billion, while Haluk Bayraktar, the General Manager of Baykar Technology, came in 2,110th with a fortune of $1.6 billion.
THE US HAS THE MOST BILLIONAIRES
It is noteworthy that the number of names on Forbes' billionaires list increased by 247 compared to the previous year. The total value of the wealth of the world's richest people reached $16.1 trillion. The US, with 902 individuals, is the country with the most billionaires, followed by China and Hong Kong with 516 billionaires, and India with 205 billionaires.
