In South Korea, automobile companies Hyundai, Kia, and GM Korea will recall a total of more than 600,000 vehicles due to manufacturing defects. Issues such as problems with the airbag control unit design and errors in the electronic brake software have led to the recalls.

It has been reported that three car manufacturers in South Korea will recall more than 600,000 vehicles due to production defects.

According to a report by the Yonhap news agency, the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has issued a notice for the recall of certain vehicles identified with part and system defects. According to the notice, a total of 607,502 vehicles from 10 different models under Hyundai Motor, Kia Corp., and GM Korea will be recalled.

MANY ERRORS DETECTED IN VEHICLES

Due to a design flaw in the airbag control unit, Hyundai will recall 312,744 vehicles and Kia will recall 285,327 vehicles. Vehicles that have suffered damage to internal components due to design flaws and where airbags did not deploy will undergo "corrective measures." A total of 8,592 Kia EV9 models will also be recalled due to an electronic brake software error that caused the remote parking function to malfunction. Additionally, a total of 839 vehicles imported and sold by GM Korea, where warning lights did not illuminate due to insufficient brake fluid, will also be recalled.
