Yıldız Holding signed a preliminary protocol with Bor Şeker for the sale of the Adapazarı Sugar Factory, which it has operated since 2013. If the transfer process is completed, the holding will completely withdraw from sugar production activities.
Yıldız Holding, which encompasses many brands in the food sector, has taken an important step towards an agreement with Bor Şeker for the sale of the Adapazarı Sugar Factory.
In a notification made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was announced that a preliminary protocol regarding the transfer of the factory was signed between the parties. The statement did not include any information regarding the sale price.
BINDING CONTRACT EXPECTED
In a statement made by Bor Şeker, it was noted that the signed preliminary protocol indicates the parties' intention regarding the sale, and it was expressed that the process is expected to be completed with a final and binding share transfer agreement. It was also stated that if the share transfer occurs, the processes related to the takeover of the factory's operational activities will also become clear. It was reported that negotiations between the parties are ongoing.
YILDIZ HOLDING IS WITHDRAWING FROM THE SUGAR SECTOR
With the completion of the sale of the Adapazarı Sugar Factory, Yıldız Holding's activities in sugar production will also come to an end. Thus, the holding will completely exit the sugar sector, in which it has been present for many years.
NEGOTIATIONS STARTED IN JANUARY
Bor Şeker announced that negotiations regarding the acquisition process began on January 31, 2026. The statement noted that the process was not immediately announced to the public for strategic reasons. It was expressed that the disclosure of internal information was temporarily postponed under the regulations of the Capital Markets Board to protect the company's interests and to prevent possible speculative movements in share value.
