Former head of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's personal security team, Ami Dror, made striking allegations about Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu. Dror claimed that he witnessed Sara Netanyahu taking towels and various gifts from the hotels where they stayed during official visits.
"GIFTS BELONG TO THE STATE"
According to Jordan-based media outlet Roya News, Dror claimed in a podcast interview with the Israeli press outlet Maariv that he saw gifts and towels missing from hotels during some official visits he accompanied the Netanyahu family on. Dror stated that the gifts given under protocol legally belong to the state and are not the property of the prime minister's family.
In his statement, Dror mentioned that some items went missing after the Netanyahu family left the hotel, and hotel staff directed questions about this situation to the security team.

Ami Dror also used quite harsh words against Sara Netanyahu in the interview. Dror reiterated his claims by saying, "I have said it before and I stand by it. Sara Netanyahu is a kleptomaniac."

Dror claimed that Sara Netanyahu has become an increasingly influential figure within the Netanyahu family in recent years, asserting that the Israeli First Lady has been effective in political processes and has obstructed certain negotiation attempts.
Dror stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been trying to elevate his wife's public profile over time, saying, "He tried to turn her into Hillary Clinton. She is not Hillary Clinton."
Sara Netanyahu has previously been subject to public and judicial scrutiny due to allegations of misusing state funds, but she has denied any wrongdoing.
The latest allegations have added another layer to the controversies surrounding the Netanyahu family.
