Nevzat Bahtiyar's additional statement has emerged: Narin's mother knew from the first day that Narin was dead.

After being found dead 19 days after going missing in Diyarbakır, 8-year-old Narin Güran's confession of burying her led to the arrest of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was sent to prison. Following the statements of the detained uncle Salim Güran's lawyers claiming, "The killer of Narin is Nevzat," Bahtiyar was brought back to the Diyarbakır Courthouse to address these allegations. In his last statement given at midnight, Nevzat Bahtiyar said, "When I saw the relationship between mother Yüksel Güran and uncle Salim Güran, Salim Güran killed the little girl."

"HE SAW THAT WE WERE TOGETHER WITH YÜKSEL"

Bahtiyar continued, "Salim told me, 'I killed this girl because she saw that I was with Yüksel. Now you are my accomplice. Since you witnessed this event, you will dispose of this body. Otherwise, I will have your son taken from the football school and I will have him shot in the head. Get rid of this, and afterwards, I will give you 200 thousand lira.' Then, Salim and I placed the body inside a blanket together. After Salim handed the body to me, I left the house with the body."

"NARIN'S MOTHER CRIED AFTER US"

There were Narin's slippers in front of the door. Following Salim's instructions, I took them and placed them inside the blanket before heading towards my car. First, I left the body in the barn through the window, which belonged to me. Then, I hurriedly passed a sack over the head of the body. However, I hadn't tied the sack. After that, I placed the body on the back seat mat of my own vehicle. I also handed the blanket to Salim, who came behind me in his vehicle.

"I SAW YÜKSEL CRYING AND LOOKING AT ME"

Salim left the blanket in his vehicle. He told me, 'If necessary, dismember the body, then throw it into the Eğertutmaz stream.' At that moment, when I looked up towards the house of Arif Güran, I saw Narin's mother Yüksel crying and looking at me with her face in her hands. I took the body to the Eğertutmaz stream and left it at the place where I had previously shown. I also placed a large stone on top of it to avoid drawing attention."
