According to a statement from the club, it was announced that the jersey number 14 worn by Türkaslan, who lost his life in the earthquake, has been retired and that the name of the South Tribune of Yeni Malatya Stadium has been changed to "Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan Tribune."
The statement included, "To keep alive the sacred memory of our goalkeeper Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan, who we lost in the earthquake disaster centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, which plunged our nation into deep mourning, is a debt of gratitude for us. In this regard, the jersey number 14 worn by Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan has been retired by Yeni Malatyaspor Club. This jersey will no longer be given to any player, and his memory will be preserved forever."
