Co-Chair of the DEM Party, Tülay Hatimoğulları, met with former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş and Selçuk Mızraklı, who are detained in Edirne Prison, along with Istanbul MP Cengiz Çiçek.

"TURKEY MUST IMMEDIATELY IMPLEMENT ECHR DECISIONS"

Hatimoğulları stated in a press release after the meeting that the European Court of Human Rights' (ECHR) decisions regarding Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ have become final, saying, "Turkey must immediately implement the ECHR decisions it is a party to, and Demirtaş and Yüksekdağ should be released without any delay."

DEMİRTAŞ'S MESSAGE OF "PEACE AND DIALOGUE"

In the letter read by Hatimoğulları, there was a striking call to the Parliament and politicians. Demirtaş used the following expressions in his message: "We hope that the Parliament will take a brave decision for the solution commission to meet with Abdullah Öcalan as soon as possible. During the 50-year conflict process, security policies were prioritized; thousands of lives were lost. A new page must be opened now."

"MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT MUST GO TO IMRALI FOR PEACE"

Demirtaş also emphasized that "Members of Parliament should go to Imralı for peace, even if they have to take political risks," stressing the need for steps to be taken towards the solution process.

KOBANI CASE AND THE PROCESS

Hatimoğulları also reminded in her statement that the 10th anniversary of the Kobani Case has been reached, saying, "Our friends have been in prison for years due to these cases. A new era must begin in terms of law, politics, and peace."
