The Ministry of Trade announced a recall decision for two new products through the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS) while continuing its market inspections. According to the announcement made by the ministry, the "By Gri" branded unicorn patterned children's sweatshirt and the "Follow Me" branded plastic table failed safety tests and their market release has been banned.
CHILDREN'S SWEATSHIRT POSES CHOKING RISK
Inspections revealed that the "By Gri" branded sweatshirt does not comply with the TS EN 14682 standard. The drawstrings and cords present in the product pose a choking and entanglement risk for small children. Therefore, the product was deemed unsafe for use by children.
PLASTIC TABLE FAILED DURABILITY TEST
The "Follow Me" branded plastic table failed to meet durability criteria by deforming under a load of 750 N in the EN 581-3 mechanical safety test. Therefore, the product was declared unsafe and a decision was made to recall it from the market.
"INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE" MESSAGE
The Ministry of Trade announced that inspections will be carried out with determination for consumer safety. Ministry officials emphasized that identifying unsafe products and announcing them to the public is vital for raising consumer awareness and preventing potential accidents.
