New Ministers Murat Kurum and Kemal Memişoğlu took an oath in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appointed Murat Kurum as the Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and Kemal Memisoglu as the Minister of Health. They took an oath in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Kemal Memişoğlu, who was appointed to the Ministry of Health, and Murat Kurum, who was appointed to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, took office by taking an oath in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in accordance with Article 106 of the Constitution.

MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT WELCOMED THE NEW MINISTERS

According to the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; Kemal Memişoğlu was appointed as the replacement for Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, who requested to be relieved of his duties; and Murat Kurum was appointed as the replacement for Mehmet Özhaseki, the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. After the handover ceremonies held at the relevant ministries, Kurum and Memişoğlu came to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to take the oath. Kurum and Memişoğlu, who came separately to the Parliament, were welcomed by AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu and members of parliament.

"WE WILL NOT ABANDON OUR PEOPLE IN DISASTERS"

In his statement at the entrance, Minister Kurum stated that he returned to his duty with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and said, "What we have done before; actions speak louder than words. We will work harder than before. We will show more dedication. We will continue to stand by our people. We will not abandon our people in disasters. I say congratulations to our esteemed minister from whom we have taken over the flag, and I say 'May Allah not embarrass us, may He not make our people ashamed'."

Kurum, who stated that he never expected a duty, said, "We always strive to do the best in whatever task is ahead of us. It has always been like this. We have always tried to do our best in every task we have undertaken. We will continue our work with the same effort and motivation here as well. We will continue our work in harmony with our Deputy General Chairmen, members of parliament, and mayors, first in the 11 provinces affected by disasters and then in urban transformation throughout Turkey. We will always prioritize our sensitivity towards the environment. We will first imagine what is best for our people. Everything starts with a dream. After that, we will try to realize these dreams one by one together. With our People's Alliance, with our friends with whom we have previously worked in harmony, without discriminating or alienating anyone, we will embrace everyone and continue our work, God willing," he said.

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu also said, "Congratulations, there has been a change of flag. May Allah not embarrass us in front of our people, our President, and our state," he said. Kurum and Memişoğlu proceeded to the General Assembly session. Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Bozdağ read the Presidential decree regarding the appointments of Kemal Memişoğlu and Murat Kurum. Bozdağ stated that Murat Kurum's parliamentary duties have been terminated and invited Memişoğlu and Kurum to the lectern to take the oath. Kemal Memişoğlu and Murat Kurum took the lectern and took the oath. AK Party and MHP deputies congratulated the ministers.
