New statement from Narin Güran's family! They blamed external forces.

12.09.2024 14:41

The family of Narin Güran, who was killed in Diyarbakır, made a written statement regarding the murder. In the statement, it was stated, "We cannot imagine our family members killing our own daughter, but if such a situation exists, we attribute the tarnishing of a whole family to some external forces and their local extensions."

The family of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found on September 8th after going missing on August 21st in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, made a written statement regarding the developments.

"ATTACKS ON OUR NOBLE RELIGION"

The statement included the following expressions: "We would like to express our sadness as the Güran family due to occupying the country's agenda for days because of our daughter Narin Güran's disappearance on August 21st. All units of our state have mobilized with all their means to solve the incident during this process. They continue to strive for the truth to come to light. Just as our daughter's lifeless body was found, we have no doubt that the incident will be solved, the perpetrator or perpetrators of our daughter Narin will be found, and they will be punished with the harshest penalty. However, during this process, while the family members are in pain and sorrow, it has been reported to us by our friends who watch the visual and written media that our late daughter Narin is being exploited and ruthless attacks and baseless accusations are being made against the Güran family and the family members who are currently held as suspects. In addition, attacks are being made on Quran courses and our noble religion, even though they have no relevance to this incident."

BLAMED ON FOREIGN POWERS

We are members of the Gevranizade family, who have lived in Diyarbekir for centuries and sometimes served as administrators. There are thousands of Güran families and their relatives living in different parts of our country, and the majority of them are loyal to their homeland and nation. We cannot imagine our family members killing our own daughters, but if such a situation exists, we attribute the tarnishing of a whole family to some foreign powers and their local extensions. The strategic and geographical location of Tavşantepe neighborhood, where some of our family members live, also has a separate impact. We request that all forces loyal to our state do not fall into this trap. Unfortunately, even some conservative writers accuse the family of treason without conducting any investigation," it said.

THEY WILL FILE A COMPENSATION LAWSUIT

In the statement, it was announced that legal proceedings will be initiated regarding the accusations made against their families, and the following was stated: "If they examine the election results in Tavşantepe neighborhood, where only a small part of the family lives, they will be embarrassed because of these statements. The election results are also the biggest proof that the family is not a dictatorship as claimed. Currently, the incident is still fresh, and when the facts come to light and the perpetrator or perpetrators are found, legal action will be taken against the person or persons who make accusations and attack our personal rights. We reserve our rights to material and moral compensation. We owe our thanks to all state officials who strive for the manifestation of the truth and our friends who believe in our innocence and support us despite all the pressures. We request all political parties and civil society organizations in our country not to use our pain as political material and to wait for the outcome of the trial. We also strongly urge not to give any credit to any statement made other than by state authorities."
