Excitement is at its peak for the major project that will radically change transportation between Adana and Kayseri. The new road, which will shorten the current route by approximately 100 kilometers, is not just a transportation project but also a true "development corridor" for the region.
The strategic Adana-Kozan-Mansurlu-Kayseri Road project, which will connect Adana to Central Anatolia via Kozan, continues to progress without slowing down, with the goal of completing the project by the end of 2026.
THE DISTANCE WILL BE SHORTENED BY 100 KILOMETERS
With the ongoing work in the challenging geography of the Taurus Mountains, critical stages have been completed. The new road, which will shorten the existing route by approximately 100 kilometers, will directly impact not only transportation but also regional development.
TRAVEL TIME WILL BE CUT IN HALF
With the completion of the project, the travel time between Adana and Kayseri will decrease from 4-5 hours to 2-2.5 hours. Especially with the tunnels that have opened in the Kozan-Mansurlu section, the challenging mountain crossings have become safer and faster.
STEP BY STEP TOWARDS THE 2026 GOAL
According to the news from the January 5 newspaper; landslide remediation, tunnel reinforcement, and viaduct constructions are continuing intensively. The highway teams plan to complete the missing connections at the Mansurlu Crossing within 2026.
WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE REGIONAL ECONOMY
With the completion of the project, the connection of the Adana and Mersin ports to Central Anatolia will be strengthened, and logistics costs will decrease. Access to the center for districts such as Feke, Saimbeyli, and Tufanbeyli will be facilitated, and the access of agricultural products to the market will accelerate.
SAFE AND MODERN TRANSPORTATION
The winding roads that pose risks in winter will be replaced by a safe transportation line equipped with modern tunnels and viaducts. The project will enhance driving safety while providing a comfortable travel experience.
