Three out of six suspects who were detained on the grounds of making propaganda for the terrorist organization PKK/KCK during the Gülistan Doku Football Tournament organized by the DEM Party Istanbul Youth Council in Esenyurt were arrested.

"TERRORIST ORGANIZATION" PROPAGANDA AT THE INDOOR FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The intelligence and counter-terrorism units affiliated with the Istanbul Police Department took action within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on August 22 regarding the propaganda for the terrorist organization PKK/KCK made at the indoor football field during the "Gülistan Doku Football Tournament" organized by the DEM Party Istanbul Youth Council on August 18 in Esenyurt.

THREE ARRESTED

During the operation carried out by the teams at 8 different addresses in 4 districts of Istanbul, 6 suspects, including R.Y. and A.A., executives of the DEM Party Esenyurt District Organization, were apprehended. One of the suspects was released after the police procedures, while 5 were referred to the courthouse. After the interrogations at the prosecutor's office, A.A., O.T., and Y.O. were arrested. R.Y. and A.A., who were banned from leaving the country, were released under judicial control.
