In operations targeting numerous addresses in Gaziantep related to prostitution, 13 suspects were arrested, and 23 women who were forced into prostitution were rescued. During the searches at the addresses, 51,850 Turkish lira, 1,000 euros, and 850 dollars were seized.
The teams of the Moral Bureau of the Gaziantep Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch conducted an operation on May 27 against individuals identified as committing the crime of "human trafficking, promoting prostitution, facilitating, and providing a place for prostitution."
23 WOMEN RESCUED
In a simultaneous operation carried out at numerous addresses, 13 suspects were captured and taken into custody, while 23 victimized women who were forced into prostitution were rescued. After the procedures at the police station, 9 of the suspects sent to the courthouse were arrested, while 4 were released under judicial control.
APPROXIMATELY 130 THOUSAND LIRA SEIZED
During the searches conducted in the operation, 1 unlicensed pistol, 2 blank-firing pistols, 15 cartridges, 2 unlicensed shotguns, 51,850 TL, 1,000 euros (45,290 TL), and 850 dollars (33,396 TL) were seized.
