Nurgül Yeşilçay explained why she is not acting in TV series.

Finally, Nurgül Yeşilçay, who starred in the series 'Veda Mektubu', explained why she has not been taking roles in TV series, expressing her disappointment.

Famous actress Nurgül Yeşilçay was a guest on Gökhan Çınar's program called 'FÜG', which is broadcast on his YouTube channel.

"I'M A BIT DOWN"

Stating that she is affected by the social issues on the agenda, Yeşilçay said, "I'm a bit down," and expressed that she finds escape in comedy programs.

Yeşilçay stated, "I watch comedy programs when I feel overwhelmed and everything is coming at me. We really need to laugh. For example, the period when cabarets emerged was during World War II; these troubled times are indeed the periods when people need to laugh the most," she expressed.

"WE ARE NOT MAKING COMEDY IN THE TIME OF NEED"

Yeşilçay also pointed out the need for comedy, saying, "At a time when people should need comedy, we are not making a comedy series. Our producers are men, and the viewers are women," she said.

"BECAUSE THERE ARE NO SERIES"

In response to the question of why she does not take roles in series, Yeşilçay answered, "Because there are no series."

The experienced actress had last appeared in the series 'Veda Mektubu', which concluded in August 2023.
