While freezing cold weather is affecting the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, a spring-like atmosphere is being experienced in the village of Konur, located about 40 kilometers away in the Şemdinli district. While the temperature in Yüksekova drops to minus 10 degrees, it rises to 14 degrees in Konur village. Citizens stated, "We are enjoying the warm weather. Young people are playing football, and families are having barbecues."
In Yüksekova district, located 80 kilometers away from the city center of Hakkari at an altitude of 2,000 meters, the snowfall that was effective last week has given way to cold weather. The air temperature at night drops to minus 10 degrees, while the snow thickness reaches up to 5 centimeters in some places.
SNOW IN ONE DISTRICT, SUN IN ANOTHER
In contrast to previous years, spring weather is being experienced in the village of Konur in Şemdinli district, which is approximately 40 kilometers away. A group of friends living in Yüksekova spent a day in Konur village, where spring weather is being enjoyed.
In the village, where the daytime temperature reached 14 degrees, friends who set up camp in Sosi Valley had a picnic and played football. The group also stayed overnight by lighting a campfire.

Burhan Yalçın stated, "The temperature in Konur village shows 14 degrees. We spent the night camping here. While freezing cold is effective in Yüksekova center and rural villages, there is warm weather here. We are taking this opportunity to have a picnic. We invite everyone to come here," he said.

Nurullah Gezer said, "We are enjoying the warm weather. Despite being the last days of December, we are camping and spending the night in a tent. Young people are playing football, while families are grilling and having picnics," he added.
